This statute modifies the foundational municipal law in Rajasthan by strictly increasing financial penalties for specific infractions and enhancing the discretionary powers of municipal authorities. It replaces the old fine of two thousand rupees with a significantly higher amount of five thousand rupees for contraventions covered under the principal Act. Additionally, it strengthens the decision-making power of the Chairperson or authority by inserting a new clause in the principal Act that ensures their decisions override conflicting norms (Section 23, 28).
