The Rajasthan Finance Act, 2025
The Rajasthan Finance Act, 2025
Tax20257 sections
This Act amends several existing laws in Rajasthan to support the state's financial management and tax collection. It increases stamp duty on property transactions to six percent of market value, allows the state government to borrow an additional 0.50 percent of its Gross State Domestic Product, and expands the definition of officers who can enforce motor vehicle tax laws. The Act also declares the Rajasthan Value Added Tax Act, 2025 as an independent law separate from this Finance Act. These changes help the state government raise revenue, manage its budget more flexibly, and strengthen tax enforcement while ensuring the Value Added Tax Act operates independently.
