Prosecution of an advocate.-

Notwithstanding anything contained in section 154 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Central Act No. 2 of 1974) or any other law for the time being in force, if a report of cognizable offence is received from the client or opposite client against the advocate for the act done, during discharge of his professional duties, the same may be registered only after an inquiry by the police officer not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police, which shall be completed within a maximum period of seven days and if a case is registered, a written information of the same be sent to the Bar Council of Rajasthan.
