Short title, extent and commencement

Preliminary

1. (1) This Act may be called the Punjab Weights and Measures (Enforcement) Act, 1958.
2. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Haryana.
3. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint, and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act or for different areas or for different classes of undertakings or for different classes of goods.
