Management of the Authority

The names, addresses and occupations of the first members of the State Seed Certification Governing Board, to whom, by the rules and regulations of the Authority, the management of the Authority’s affairs is entrusted are given below:- 1. Shri Paramjit Singh, IAS, Chairman, Secretary to the Govt. Of Punjab, Chandigarh - Occupation: Govt. Service. 2. Shri Pritam Singh, Director of Agriculture or his nominee to the Board - Occupation: Govt. Service - Member. 3. Shri J.P.Gupta IAS, O.S.D. (Seed Project) Punjab, Chandigarh - Occupation: Govt. Service - Member. 4. Dr. J.C.Bakshi, Director of Research, Pb. Agricultural University, Ludhiana - Occupation: University Service - Member. 5. Dr. K.S.Gill, Professor of Plant Breeding, Pb. Agricultural University, Ludhiana - Occupation: University Service - Member. 6. Dr. J.S.Chohan, Professor of Plant Pathology, Pb. Agricultural University, Ludhiana - Occupation: University Service - Member. In addition to the above, the following would also be members of the Board who will be nominated by the State/Central Government: 7. Seeds men (Two) or representatives of State Seed Association (Nominated) by the State Govt. - Member. 8. Seed Growers (Two) nominated by the State Govt. - Member. 9.
