The Police (East Punjab Amendment) Act, 1948

(1) This Act may be called the Police (East Punjab Amendment) Act, 1948. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the commencement of the Police Act, 1861 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act).

In section 7 of the said Act— (a) after the words "dismiss, suspend or reduce", the words "either in rank or within a time—scale" shall be inserted; and (b) after the existing clause (d), the following clause shall be added, namely:— "(e) stoppage of increments."

The Police (Punjab Amendment) Act, 1947, is hereby repealed.
