Meetings of the Senate

(1) The meetings of the Senate shall be held at least twice a year on the dates, to be fixed by the Vice-Chancellor. One of such meetings, shall be annual meeting. (2) The report on the working of the University, done during the previous year, together with the statement of receipts and expenditure, the financial estimates and the audit report, shall be presented for consideration of the Senate at its meetings convened under sub-section (1). (3) The Vice-Chancellor may, whenever he thinks appropriate, or upon a requisition in writing, signed by not less than one third members of the Senate, shall convene a special meeting of the Senate within a period of seven days after such requisition.
