Penalty for failure to surrender

Any prisoner who is liable to be arrested under sub-section (2) of section 8, shall be punishable with imprisonment of either description which may extend to three months or with fine not less than Rs. 1,000 or with both and such offence shall be cognizable and non-bailable.
