The East Punjab Extension of Limitation Act, 1947

1. (1) This Act may be called the East Punjab Extension of Limitation Act, 1947. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into effect on the 20th of September 1947.

Notwithstanding anything contained in the Indian Limitation Act, 1908 (IX of 1908), or in any other law for the time being in force, for the purpose of any appeal or application to the High Court of Judicature for East Punjab, where the limitation expires on the 29th day of September, 1947, or has expired before the 15th day of November, 1947, the period from the 29th day of September 1947, to the 15th day of November 1947, shall be excluded.
