The Punjab State Vigilance Commission Act 2006(1) It shall be the duty of the Commission to present annually to the Governor a report as to the work done by the Commission within the period specified by the State Government, and on receipt of such report, the Governor shall cause a copy thereof together with a memorandum explaining the reasons for the non-acceptance, if any, of any advice of the Commission, and the reasons for such non-acceptance, to be laid before the Legislature of the State. (2) The Commission may, at any time, if it considers necessary, submit a special report to the Governor, as required by the State Government, under this Act, which shall be laid with a memorandum of the action, if any, taken, before the Legislature of the State. (3) On receipt of such report, the Governor shall cause the same to be laid before the Legislature of the State. (4) A copy of the report submitted to the Government shall also be provided to the Commission.
