Punjab State Sports University Act

The Punjab State Sports University Act

The Punjab State Sports University Act, 2012 establishes a specialized university dedicated to high-level training in sports sciences, physical education, and coaching. It aims to create a pool of qualified professionals to enhance India's performance in national and international sports. For an ordinary citizen, it matters because it institutionalizes state-level sports development, offering structured career paths to athletes and clearing the administrative path for government and corporate funding in athletics.
