Punjab Municipal (Tax Validating) Act, 1955

This Act may be called the Punjab Municipal (Tax Validating) Act, 1955.

Notwithstanding anything contained in the Punjab Municipal Act, 1911 (Punjab Act III of 1911), the tax imposed by the Municipal Committee, Ferozepur-Jhirka, in district Gurgaon, the imposition of which was notified in the Punjab Government notification No. 191-C-54/24096, dated the 29th April, 1954, in Part I-A of the Punjab Gazette, dated the 11th June, 1954, shall be deemed to have been legally imposed with effect from the 19th June, 1954, and to remain legally in force until altered or repealed or amended by a competent authority.

AN ACT to validate the imposition of a tax by the Municipal Committee of Ferozepur-Jhirka in Gurgaon District. BE it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in the Sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows:--
