This Act provides for the regularization of employees in the Punjab state government who have worked on ad hoc, contractual, daily wage, temporary, or work charged basis for at least three years. It applies to employees in Group A, B, C, and D categories, provided they meet specific eligibility criteria such as age limits, educational qualifications, and have a clean background with no pending legal or departmental proceedings. The legislation also ensures pay protection for those whose salaries decreased after previous regularization and outlines provisions for outsourced employees recruited through private agencies.
