The Pro-Chancellor.

(1) The Secretary to Government (Higher Education) in the Union territory of Puducherry, shall, by virtue of his office, be the Pro-Chancellor of the University; (2) The Pro-Chancellor shall preside over the Convocation in the absence of the Chancellor; (3) The annual programme of work of the University shall be referred to the Pro-Chancellor for his information and any suggestion made by him may be considered by the Board of Governors.
