Puducherry Landing and Shipping Fees Act, 1971

This Act levies landing and shipping fees on goods landed or shipped at ports in Puducherry. The fee rates are notified by the Government, and the money collected is used for the purposes set out in the Act. Goods can be detained until the fees are paid, damage caused by vessels can be recovered from their owners, and breaking the Act is punishable.
