Power to amend Schedule

Statutory text
- (1) The Government may, by notification, from time to time, increase the rate of tax as specified in Part I and Part II of the Schedule : Provided that such increase shall not exceed fifty per centum of the rate specified in the said parts of the Schedule.
- (2) All references made in this Act to the Schedule shall be construed as references to the Schedule as for the time being amended in exercise of the powers conferred by this section.
- (3) Any notification issued under sub-section
- (1) shall, as soon as possible after it is published, be laid before the Orissa Legislative Assembly for a total period of 14 days which may comprise in one or more sessions.
