E it enactedby theLegislatureOfthe Stateof Orissain the Thirty-seventhYear

of the Republic of India, as follows:—

1. (1) ThisAct m'aybecapedtheLepers(OrissaRepeat)Act, 1986.

Short title

1. (2) It shallcomeintoforce onsuchdate as the StateGovernmentmay,bY mant. notification in the Offcial Gazette, appoint.

On the date of commencement of this Act, the Lepers Act, 1898, in its application to the State of Orissa, shall stand repealed: Provided that any order made under Section 8 or 9 of the repealed Act or any bond entered into by any surety under Section 8 thereof, shall cease to have any effect on and from the date of commencement of this Act.
