Appointment of licensing officer

The State Government may, by notification,-

1. (a) appoint any officer not below the rank of a Divisional Forest Officer to be a licensing officer for the purposes of this Act; and
2. (b) define the local limits within which a licensing officer shall exercise powers conferred, and perform the duties imposed, on a licensing officer by or under this Act.
