Cognizance of Offence.

Statutory text
(1) No court inferior to that of a Judicial Magistrate of First Class shall try any offence punishable under this Act. (2) No court shall take cognizance of any offence punishable under this Act, except upon a complaint in writing made by the Authorised Officer or any officer of the State Government or Committee, authorized by the State Government.
