The Odisha Industries Services (Validation of Appointment of Assistant Managers and Assistant Directors) Act, 2015

This Act may be called the Odisha Industries Services (Validation of Appointment of Assistant Managers and Assistant Directors) Act, 2015.

In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) "appointed day" means the date on which the Odisha Industries Service (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2013 came into force; (b) "Assistant Managers" means persons appointed as Assistant Managers in the Odisha Industries Service; (c) "Assistant Directors" means persons appointed as Assistant Directors in the Odisha Industries Service; (d) "Government" means the Government of Odisha; (e) "Rules" means the Odisha Industries Service (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2013.

Notwithstanding anything contained in the Rules, the appointment of persons as Assistant Managers and Assistant Directors in the Odisha Industries Service, made by the Government during the period from the 20th day of November, 2013 to the date of commencement of this Act, shall be deemed to have been validly made as if such appointments were made in accordance with the provisions of the Rules, and no such appointment shall be liable to be challenged in any court or tribunal on the ground that the appointment was made otherwise than in accordance with the Rules or that the procedure prescribed by the Rules was not followed in making such appointment.
