Power to make rules
The Odisha Industrial Establishments (National and Festival) Holidays Act, 1969(1) The State Government may make rules for the purpose of carrying into effect the provisions of this Act.(2) In making a rule under this Act, State Government may provide that a contravention thereof shall be punishable with fine which may extend to fifty rupees.(3) All rules made under this section shall, as soon as may be after they are made, be laid before the State Legislature for a total period of fourteen days which may be comprised in one or more sessions and if during the said period the State Legislature makes modifications, if any, therein the rules shall thereafter have effect only in such modified form; so however that such modifications shall be without prejudice to the validity of anything previously done under the rules.
