Bare Act
The NAGALAND ROAD SAFETY AUTHORITY ACT, 2013 (1ST AMENDMENT) ACT, 2018
This Act amends the Nagaland Road Safety Authority Act, 2013, to restructure the composition of the state's road safety governing body. It expands the Authority by including key officials from the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation, the Border Roads Organisation, and the State Council of Educational Research and Training. By clarifying the role of the Transport Department's administrative head as the Vice-Chairman, the Act aims to improve coordination between infrastructure developers, educators, and transport regulators. For citizens, this ensures that road safety planning involves a broader range of experts, potentially leading to better-designed roads and more effective safety education programs.
