The Nagaland Legislative Assembly Members' Salaries, Allowances and Pension (Amendment) Act, 1987

(1) This Act may be called the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Members' Salaries, Allowances and Pension (Amendment) Act, 1987. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from 1st March, 1981.

In Section 3A (1) of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Members' Salaries, Allowances and Pension Act, 1964 the following shall be inserted after the words 'Nagaland Legislative Assembly' "or Member of the Interim Body constituted under the Nagaland (Transitional Provisions) Regulations, 1961" (No. 2 of 1961).

In Section 3A existing Explanation shall be numbered as (1) and the following shall be inserted as item No. 2 after Explanation Number 1: "(2) The expression 'term' also includes lesser period than five years in the event of resignation tendered by a member individually or en-bloc".
