Authorization in respect of public carrier or contract carriage owned by State Government

Without prejudice to the provisions of section 7, but notwithstanding, anything contained in the Motor Vehicles Act, 1939 (IV of 1939), it shall be lawful for the Transport Commissioner or an officer appointed in that behalf by the Transport Commissioner to authorize a public carrier or contract carriage owned by the State Government to be used on any or all routes in Nagaland and the public service vehicles aforesaid may then be so used as if the authorization had been a permit granted under oblige in accordance with provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1939 (IV of 1939).
