This Act amends the Nagaland Salaries, Allowances, and Facilities Act to increase the pay and benefits for the Chief Minister, Ministers, Speaker, Leader of Opposition, and other elected officials. It also sets new rates for the salaries of their personal staff. Furthermore, the legislation updates the pension and family pension schemes for former Members of the Legislative Assembly to ensure they and their families receive adequate financial support after leaving office. This change is important for maintaining the dignity of public office and providing security for ex-legislators in Nagaland.
