This Act amends the Nagaland Motor Vehicles Taxation Act to update how one-time taxes are calculated for non-transport vehicles. It establishes a 15-year tax period based on vehicle cost, charging 5 percent for two and four-wheelers and 10 percent for three-wheelers. Vehicles registered in other states are taxed on their depreciated value. The law also mandates a renewal tax of 2 percent after 15 years and provides a refund scale for vehicles taken out of the state, ranging from 65 percent down to zero based on the vehicle's age.
