This Act amends the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Members' Salaries, Allowances and Pension Act of 1964 to update financial benefits for MLAs starting April 1, 1990. It increases the monthly salary to one thousand rupees and raises daily allowances to one hundred rupees for in-state activities and one hundred fifty rupees for approved tours outside the state. Additionally, it specifies that travelling allowances will be paid at the rate for a first-grade government servant. This legislation ensures MLAs receive appropriate compensation for their public service duties.
