Received the assent of the Government of Nagaland on 17/07/1999 and published in the Nagaland GazetteExtraordinary dated: 22ndofSeptember, 1999.

Further to amend the salary and allowances of the Nagaland Leader of opposition salariesand allowances act of 1992.

Whereas it is expected to amend the Nagaland Leader of opposition salaries and allowances act, 1992(Act No. 5 of 1992)in the manner here under appearing :

It is hereby enacted in the Fiftieth year ofthe Republic ofIndiaas follows :

1. (i) This act may called the NAGALAND LEADER OF OPPOSITION SALARYAND ALLOWANCES (AMENDMENT)ACT, 1999.
2. (ii) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may by notification in official gazette appoint.

Section 3 (i) of the Leader of Opposition salaries and allowances act 1992 (Act No. 5 of 1992),shall be substituted by tbe following as hereunder.

AMENDMENT OFSECTION NO. 7

Section No 5 of the Nagaland Leader of opposition salaries and allowances act 1992(ActofNo. 5 of 1992)shallbe deleted.

Section 7 (d) of the Nagaland Leader of Opposition salaries and allowances act 1992(ActNo 7 of 1992) may be substituted as followinghereunder:

1. (d) Telephone with S.T.D. atresidence as may be prescribed - 1Telephone.

1. (2) After section 7 (d) the following shall be inserted as7 (e) :-
   • (e) Personal Secretary-I
