The Nagaland Deputy Speakers Salaries & Allowances (Amendment) Act, 1999.

(Act No. 11 of 1999).

Received the assent of the Governor of Nagaland on 1710711999 'and published in the Nagaland Gazette Extraordinary date :22"*of September, 1999.

Further to amend the Nagaland Deputy Speaker's salaries and allowances act 1964.

Whereas it is expected to amend the Nagaland Deputy Speaker's salaries and allowances act, 1964 (Nagaland act No, 7 of 1964) in the manner here under appearing :

It is hereby enacted in the Fiftieth year ofthe Republic ofIndia as follows:

1. (i) This act may called the NAGALAND DEPUTY SPEAKER'S SALARIESANDALLOWANCES (AMENDMENT)ACT, 1999.
2. (ii) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may by notification in official gazette appoint.

Section 2 of the Nagaland Deputy Speaker's salaries allowances act 1964 (Nagaland Act No. 7 of 1964), shall be substituted by the following as hereunder :

1. (2) There shall be paid to the Deputy Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly as salary ofrupees Eight thousand five hundred per mensen.

Sub-sectio (2) of section 4 of the Nagaland Deputy Speaker salaries and allowance act 1964 (Nagaland act ofNo. 7 of 1964) shallbe deleted.

Section 9 of the Principal Act shall be substituted by the following as hereunder:

TheDeputy Speaker shallbe entitled to an entertainment allowance ofrupees two thousand five hundred per mensem.
