Modifications to plans

Statutory text
- (1) The Authority may make such modifications to the plan as it thinks fit, being modifications which, in its opinion, do not effect important alterations in the character of the plan and which do not relate to the extent of land-use or the standards of population density.
- (2) The Authority shall publish such modifications in the Official Gazette and in such other newspapers as the Authority may deem proper.
- (3) Before making any modifications to the plan, the Authority shall comply with such procedure as the Government may prescribe.
- (4) (Repealed not applicable here, contextually implies sub-section 4 is absent)
- (5) When the Authority makes any modification to the plan under sub-section
- (1) shall report to the Government with full particulars of such modification within thirty days of the date on which such modification comes into operation.
- (6) If any question arises whether the modification proposed to be made by the Authority is a modification which effects important alterations in the character of the plan or whether they relate to the extent of land-use or the standards of population density, it shall be referred to the Government whose decision thereon shall be final.
- (7) Any reference in any other Chapter, except Chapter III, to the master plan or the zonal development plan shall be construed as a reference to the master plan or the zonal development plan as modified under the provisions of this section.
