Preamble

AN ACT to amend the Mizoram State Agricultural Produce Marketing (Development & Regulation) Act, 2008, (hereinafter referred to as the Principal Act), does not specifically cover the matter relating to selling of meat by weighment in the market; And whereas there is extraordinary increase in selling rates of different kinds of meat in the markets and it is felt that in the public interest it is urgently necessary to control the selling rates by weighment in the markets; It is enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Mizoram in the sixty first year of the Republic of India as follows namely :-
