This Act amends the Mizoram law governing the salaries and allowances for the Government Chief Whip and the Deputy Government Chief Whip. It increases the monthly salary of the Chief Whip from ten thousand to forty thousand rupees. For the Deputy Chief Whip, it raises the sumptuary, family, and entertainment allowances, and also increases their monthly salary. Additionally, the Act updates the schedule to reflect these new financial provisions. These changes ensure that these key legislative roles are adequately compensated for their duties. The law came into effect on August 1, 2010.
