The Mizoram Salaries, Allowances and Pension of Members of the Legislative Assembly (Amendment) Act, 1995

This legislation amends rules for the salaries, travel benefits, and retirement pensions of Mizoram's Legislative Assembly members. It increases the tax-free travel allowance to cover first-class air-conditioned coaches for up to 40,000 kilometers over five years and raises the vehicle reimbursement cap to two lakh rupees. The pension structure establishes a base monthly stipend of one thousand rupees for members with five years of service and provides additional payments for longer terms, requiring beneficiaries to forfeit these benefits if they subsequently serve as Governor or Member of Parliament receiving other remuneration.
