NOTIFICATION No. H. 12018/12 91-LJD, the 5 th March. 1993, The foilowing Act of the Mizoram Legislative Assembly which received the assent of the Governor is hereby published for general information. The Mizoram Act No 4 of 1993 The Mizoram Public Libraries Act, 1993 (Received the assent of Governor of Mizoram on the 25 th February, 1993) AN ACT to provide for the establishment, maintenance and development of comprehensive public libraries system in the State of Mizoram. Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Mizoram in the Forty- Fourth Year of the Republic of India as fo llo ws :- CHAPTER-II PRELIMINARY

1.(1) This Act may be called the Mizoram Public Libraries Act, 1993.

1. (2) It shall ext end to the whole of the St ate of Miz oram.
2. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification in the official Gazette appoint.
