The Mizoram Motor Vehicles Taxation (Amendment) Act, 2015

This Act amends the Mizoram Motor Vehicles (Taxation) Act to update tax rules for vehicles in the state. It empowers the government to levy taxes on motor vehicles with pneumatic tires used in public places, with rates specified in a schedule. The legislation introduces a lifetime tax for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and motor cabs upon first registration, while exempting vehicles over two years old transferred from other states. Additionally, it sets a reduced tax rate for chassis temporarily registered for transport through the state.
