1. Short title, and commencement

- (1) This Act may be called the Meghalaya State Legislature (Continuance of the English Language) Act, 1980.
- (2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Continuation of English language for the transaction of business in the Legislature of the State.
Statutory text
Notwithstanding the expiration of the period of twenty-five years from the commencement of the Constitution, the English language shall continue to be used for the transaction of business in the Legislature of the State of Meghalaya.
