  1. (1) The Meghalaya Regulation of the Game of Arrow shooting and the Sale of Teer Tickets Ordinance, 2018 (Meghalaya Ordinance No. 1 of 2018) is hereby repeal.
  2. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the said Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the provisions of this Act. 1 (Act 9 of 2019). Short title and commencement
  3. (1) This Act may be called the Meghalaya Regulation of the Game of Arrow Shooting and the Sale of Teer Tickets (Amendment) Act, 2019.
  4. (2) It shall come into force with immediate effect. 2 (Act 9 of 2019). Amendment of Section 6 In sub-section
  5. (1) of Section 6 of the Meghalaya Regulation of the Game of Arrow Shooting and the Sale of Teer Tickets Act, 2018, for the words and figures "1000 feet or 300 meters", the words and figures "100 meters" shall be substituted. 3 (Act 9 of 2019). Repeal and Saving
  6. (1) The Meghalaya Regulation of the Game of Arrow Shooting and the Sale of Teer Tickets (Amendment) Ordinance, 2019 is hereby repealed.
  7. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the said Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the provisions of this Act. 1 (Act 25 of 2019). Short title and commencement
  8. (1) These Rules may be called the Meghalaya Regulation of the Game of Arrow Shooting and Sale of Teer Tickets (Amendment) Act, 2019.
  9. (2) It shall come into force at once. 2 (Act 25 of 2019). Amendment of Section In section 9 of the Meghalaya Regulation of the Game of Arrow Shooting and Sale of Teer Tickets Act, 2018, (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), between the words "contained in the" and "license", the word "Forms" and the punctuation mark "," shall be inserted. 3 (Act 25 of 2019). Addition of New Section 17 A In the principal Act, after Section 17, new section 17 A shall be inserted as follows, namely, - "Power of the State Government to amend Forms 17A. If the State Government is of the opinion that it is expedient in the interest of general public so to do, it may, by notification in the Official Gazette, add to, or omit from or otherwise amend the Form and thereafter the Form shall be deemed to have been amended accordingly."
