BE it enacted by the Legislature of Manipur in the Twenty-ninth Year 7

of the Republic of India as foliows : l. (1) This Act may be called the Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple 3110?t We &

(Amendment) Act, 1918 ment.commeuc€-

1. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from Manipur Act the date from which the Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Act, 7976 °f1976 ‘ came into force.

In this Act, 'Principal Act' means the Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Act, 1976.

(1) In section 2 of the Principal Act after clause (h), the following clause (hh) shall be inserted; namely: “(hh) ‘Sanamahi Deity’ means the idol of Sanamahi Deity which is installed in the temple within the compound of the homestead of Shri L. Surjamani Sharma at Keisamthong Moirangningthou Leirak, Imphal.”. (2) In section 2 of the Principal Act, for the existing clause (k) the following shall be substituted, namely: “(k) ‘Temple’ means the temple where the Sanamahi Deity is at any time installed by the Board and includes all appurtenant structures together with all additions thereto or all alterations thereof which may be made from time to time after the commencement of this Act”.
