Definitions.

In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,-

1. (a) “appointment” means direct appointment or appointment of an © official by promotion; .
2. (b) "Commission" means the Manipur Public Service Commission;
3. (c) “local authority” means local authority as specified in the Schedule appended to this Act;
4. (d) “State Government” means the Government of Manipur.
