Division of Loktak Lake

For the purpose of this Act, the Lake shall be divided into two zones, namely:— (i) "Core Zone" which will be the No-Development Zone or Totally Protected Zone consisting 70.30 Sq. Km. surrounded by the following Sheet Nos:—

(ii) “Buffer Zone” means the remaining area of the lake excluding Core Zone area.
