further to amend the Manipur Liquor Prohibition Act, 1991 (Manipur Act No. 4 of 1991)
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Manipur in the Seventy
Second Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
1. (1) This Act may be called the Manipur Liquor Prohibition (Third Short title and Amendment) Act, 2021. Commer cna
- (2) It shall come i force with effect from the date of its publication in the Of al Gazette.
2. Amendment of section 43
In the proviso to section 43 of the Manipur Liquor Prohibition Act, 1991 (hereafter referred to as the Principal Act), (i) for the words 'five hundred rupees', the words 'fifteen thousand rupees' shall be substituted; (ii) for the words 'one thousand rupees', the words 'thirty thousand rupees' shall be substituted; and (iii) for the words 'two thousand rupees', the words 'sixty thousand rupees' shall be substituted.
3. Amendment of section 44
In sub-section (1) of section 44 of the Principal Act, for the words 'one thousand rupees', the words 'thirty thousand rupees' shall be substituted and for the words 'five hundred rupees' in the proviso, the words 'fifteen thousand rupees' shall be substituted.
13. In section 58 of the Principal Act, for the words “five hundred Amendment of
rupees”, the words “lilteen thousand rupees” shall be substituted. section 38,
14. In section 59 of the Principal Act, for the words “one thousand Amendment of
rupees”, the words “thirty thousand rupees” shall be substituted. section 59.
15. In sub-section (1) of section 60 of the Principal Act, for the words Amendment of
“two hundred rupees”, the words “six thousand rupees” shall be section 60. substituted and for the words “twenty five rupees” in the proviso, the words “seven hundred and fifty rupees” shall be substituted.
16. In section 61 of the Principal Act, for the words “one thousand ~~ Amendment of
rupees”, the words “thirty thousand rupees” shall be substituted. section 61.
17. In section 62 of the Principal Act, for the words “one thousand Amendment of
rupees”, the words “thirty thousand rupees” shall be substituted. section 62.
18. In section 63 of the Principal Act, for the words “one thousand Amendment of
rupees”, the words “thirty thousand rupees” shall be substituted. section 63.
19. In section 64 of the Principal Act, for the words “five hundred Amendment of
rupees”, the words “fifteen thousand rupees” shall be substituted. section 64,
20. In section 63 of the Principal Act, for the words “one thousand Amendment of
rupees”, the words © ty thousand rupees” shall be substituted. section 63.
21. In section 72 of the Principal Act, for the words “rupees ten Amendment of
