The Sir Chinubhai Madhavlal Ranchhodlal Baronetcy (Repealing) Act, 1956

This Act may be called the Sir Chinubhai Madhavlal Ranchhodlal Baronetcy (Repealing) Act, 1956.

In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) "Baronetcy Act" means the Sir Chinubhai Madhavlal Ranchhodlal Baronetcy Act, 1924 (VIII of 1924); (b) "Corporation" means the Baronetcy Corporation constituted under section 3 of the Baronetcy Act; (c) "property" includes movable and immovable property, and all estates, interests, rights and easements in, to and out of property, and all books of account, registers, records and other documents.

The Sir Chinubhai Madhavlal Ranchhodlal Baronetcy Act, 1924 (VIII of 1924), is hereby repealed.

On the commencement of this Act, all the properties, movable and immovable, which immediately before such commencement were vested in the Corporation constituted under the Sir Chinubhai Madhavlal Ranchhodlal Baronetcy Act, 1924 (VIII of 1924), shall stand transferred to, and vest in, Sir Chinubhai Madhavlal, the present Baronet, absolutely, subject to the conditions, if any, specified in the Schedule to this Act, and he shall be liable for all the obligations and liabilities of the said Corporation.

On the commencement of this Act, the Corporation constituted under the Sir Chinubhai Madhavlal Ranchhodlal Baronetcy Act, 1924 (VIII of 1924), shall be dissolved and the said Act shall be repealed.

1. The properties specified in the Schedule to Act VIII of 1924 shall continue to be subject to the same trusts, limitations and conditions, if any, as were applicable to them immediately before the commencement of this Act, except in so far as they are modified by this Act.

2. It shall be the duty of Sir Chinubhai Madhavlal, the present Baronet, to maintain the properties in good condition and to ensure that the income therefrom is applied for the objects for which the trust was created.
