2. Amendment of section 1 of Act XXII of 1922
Amendment of section 1 of Act XXII of 1922. — In section 1 of the Police (Incitement to Disaffection) Act, 1922, in its application to the pre-Reorganisation State of Bombay, excluding the transferred territories, in sub-section (2), for the words "to the whole of the State of Bombay" the words "to the whole of the State of Bombay, excluding the transferred territories" shall be substituted. Short title and extent. — (1) This Act may be called the Police (Incitement to Disaffection) (Bombay Extension and Amendment) Act, 1958. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Bombay.
3. Extension of Act XXII of 1922 to the rest of the State of Bombay
Extension of Act XXII of 1922 to the rest of the State of Bombay. — The Police (Incitement to Disaffection) Act, 1922, is hereby extended to, and shall be in force in, the rest of the State of Bombay, excluding the transferred territories.
4. Repeal
On the commencement of this Act, the Police (Incitement to Disaffection) (Extension to Hyderabad and Saurashtra Areas) Act, 1956, shall stand repealed.
