Bare Act
The Cowasjee Jehangir Baronetcy (Repealing) Act, 1964
General19644 sections
This Act repeals the previous Baronetcy Act and dissolves the trust corporation that managed the property. It transfers all assets, including the Readymoney House and Fort Mansion, along with all rights and obligations, to the current Baronet, Sir Cowasjee Jehangir. The legislation also provides legal protection, or indemnity, to the former trustees and the government, shielding them from lawsuits related to actions taken under the repealed law. This effectively ends the trust structure and places full control of the estate in the hands of the Baronet.
