Amendment of section 2 of C. P. and Berar Act II of 1939
The Central Provinces and Berar Regulation of Couching (Maharashtra Extension and Amendment) Act, 1962In section 2 of the principal Act, for clause (c), the following shall be substituted, namely:— (c) \"registered practitioner\" means a medical practitioner registered under the Bombay Medical Act, 1912, or the Central Provinces and Berar Medical Registration Act, 1916, or any other corresponding law for the time being in force in any part of the State of Maharashtra;\". In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,— (1) "appointed day" means the date on which this Act comes into force; (2) "principal Act" means the Central Provinces and Berar Regulation of Couching Act, 1939 (C. P. and Berar Act II of 1939); (3) "rest of the State of Maharashtra" means the area of the State of Maharashtra excluding the Vidarbha region thereof.
