1. Short title and commencement.

- (1) This Act may be called the Bombay Seals Act, 1949.
- (2) It shall come into force on such date as the Provincial Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
2. Amendment of clause 6 of the Letters Patent of 28th December 1865.

In clause 6 of the Letters Patent of the High Court of Judicature for the Presidency of Bombay, bearing date the twenty-eighth day of December, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-five, for the words "Our Royal Arms" the words "the Asoka Capital Motif" shall be substituted.
