In pursuance of clause )3( of article 348 of the Constitution of India, the following translation in English of the Maharashtra State Commission for Scheduled Tribes Act, 2025 )Mah. Act No. XXXVI of 2025(, is hereby published under the authority of the Governor.

MAHARASHTRA ACT No. XXXVI OF 2025. ( First published, after having received the assent of the Governor in the “Maharashtra Government Gazette”, on the 17th July 2025.) An Act to provide for the constitution of the Maharashtra State Commission for Scheduled Tribes with a view to protect and safeguard the interests of the Scheduled Tribes in the State of Maharashtra; and to recommend remedial measures for their welfare and development and for the matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

WHEREAS it is expedient to provide for the constitution of the Maharashtra State Commission for Scheduled Tribes with a view to protect and safeguard the interests of the Scheduled Tribes in the State of Maharashtra;
