The Maharashtra Repealing and Amending Act, 1991
1. Short title.
This Act may be called the Maharashtra Repealing and Amending Act, 1991.
2. Repeal of certain enactments.
The enactments specified in the First Schedule, in their application to the whole of the State of Maharashtra or any part thereof, as the case may be, are hereby repealed to the extent mentioned in the fourth column thereof.
3. Amendment of certain enactments.
The enactments specified in the Second Schedule are hereby amended to the extent and in the manner mentioned in the fourth column thereof.
4. Savings.
The repeal, by this Act, of the enactments referred to in the First Schedule, shall not affect anything previously done or action taken under the said Acts.

Section 3 shall be deleted. 1959 III The Bombay Village Panchayats Act, 1958. In section 3, in clause (17), the figures “41” shall be deleted. 1961 XXIV The Maharashtra Co-operative societies Act, 1960. In section 165 in sub-section (2), in clause (liii), for the word “Registrar” the words “Co-operative Court” shall substituted. 1965 XL The Maharashtra Municipalities Act, 1965. In section 342, in sub-section (g), the brackets, figure and letter “(4A)” shall be deleted. 1982 XXXI The Maharashtra Prevention of Malpractices at University, Board and other specified Examinations Act, 1982. In section 8, in the marginal note for the word “or” the word “of” shall be substituted. 1983 XLI The Maharashtra Agricultural Universities (Krishi Vidyapeeths) Act, 1983.
- (1) In section 2, clause (m) shall be deleted.
- (2) In section 30, in sub-section (1), for the brackets and figures “(xv)” the brackets, figure and letter “(1A)” shall be substituted.
- (3) In section 37, the words “and the rules made thereunder,” shall be deleted.
- (4) In section 70, in sub-section (2)—
- (a) in clause (ii), sub-clause (l) shall be re-numbered and relettered as clause (ii-a) of subsection (2) ;
- (b) in clause (iii), sub-clause (h) shall be re-numbered and re-lettered as clause (iii-a) of sub-section (2).
