Short title, extent and commencement.

- (1) This Act may be called the 1[Maharashtra Personal Inams Abolition Act].
- (2) It extends to the 2[Bombay area of the State of Maharashtra] excluding the merged territories.
- (3) It shall come into force on such date3 as the State Government may by notification in the Official Gazette specify in this behalf.
