Definitions

In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,—

1. (a) “administrator” means any person, by whatever name called, appointed by or under section 55, 313 or 315 or any other provisions of the Municipalities Act, to exercise the powers and perform the duties of any Council or of the President of any Council;
2. (b) “Council” or “Municipal Council” and “election” shall have the meanings assigned to them in the Municipalities Act;
3. (c) “the Municipalities Act” means the Maharashtra Municipalities Act, 1965;
4. (d) words and expressions used in this Act and not defined herein shall, in relation to any Municipal Council, have the meanings assigned to them under the Municipalities Act.
